The children had an awesome time at Lake Rotokare last Friday, learning lots of new things.
This week on Tuesday, we have someone coming from Puke Ariki to some some more learning about Flora and Fauna. We will be in the hall for most of the day.
This week we are doing our writing assessment and this data will go into their reports for the end of the term.
For maths this week we are focusing on 3D shapes and how they are different from 2D shapes.

I am away at a Phonics Training course in New Plymouth on Wednesday. Mrs Chris Drury is in Room 6 for the day.
We have our trip to Lake Rotokare on Friday, please make sure that permission slips are back. If it is raining a little we will still be going, so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately.

We have a Swim Safe assembly this morning.
For the first two day we will be looking at ANZAC day. After that we will be starting our theme on Flora and Fauna.

It’s a short week this week as we finish on Thursday at 1pm. Buses will run at this time.
The children are bringing home reading and a letter for the holidays, please make sure they keep practising the skills they learnt over this term.

On Wednesday we are having someone from Swim Safe come and watch the children in their swimming lessons to help the teachers and children improve! Please make sure your child has their togs.
On Friday Mr Ray Stoddart is in Room 6, the children always enjoy having him and the art work they produce.

On Wednesday we have swimmming sports. It starts at 12:30 and Room 6 will be starting with showing the parents what they have been learning in our swimming lessons. It would be great to see you there supporting your children.

Wow what a week! It was interesting with the power off on Monday, though luckily the classroom program ran smoothly anyway!

On Thursday we have athletics at Kaponga. If permission slips are not back in we CAN NOT take your child with us! Please make sure your child has a big lunch, a drink with them and warm clothes. It can get very cold in Kaponga. We will be leaving straight away at 9:10am.

On Tuesday we are having Parent Interviews. I hope to see you all there! Please remember school finishes at 12:30. On Wednesday we are having athletics! On Thursday I am at a course in New Plymouth, so the children have a reliever for the day. And on Friday Room 6 ar doing assembly, so come along and watch!
